This is the gear I am currently using. I have lots of odd bits and bobs in addition to the gear highlighted below. A summary list at the bottom will include some of the more important of those, that weren’t important enough to warrant their own highlight.

Canon EOS R7

The newest APS-C addition from Canon, 32.5 MP sensor, 30fps electronic shutter, 15 fps mechanical, advanced autofocus and tracking system, 4K@60fps uncropped video.

Canon USA: Canon EOS R7

Sigma DC 17-50mm f/2.8 EX OS HSM

This discontinued lens from Sigma is my main workhorse. It is sharp, versatile, and fast.

Only downside is a bit noisy focusing system, which means it is not suited for video.

I can highly recommend this lens if you’re on the lookout for a budget-friendly APS-C lens for your Canon camera.

Sigma: 17-50mm F2.8 EX HSM

Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM

This telephoto lens is one that I’ve had for a good number of years.

Canon USA: EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM

Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM

Very nice and sharp wide-angle lens for the RF system. Equivalent to 26mm on the EOS R7. Not the fastest lens in its focal length range but fast enough for my use.

Main use is video.

Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 MACRO IS STM

This is a very sharp 35mm lens for the RF mount. Fast 1.8 aperture, image stabilization, macro, and silent.

I have yet to really start using this lens, my main goal is to use this for street photography. I used a 32mm on my EOS M50 and really liked the field of view it gave me.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM

This is the “nifty fifty” everyone should have. Cheap, sharp, fast, what more can you ask for?

Hoya 77mm PL-CIR
NiSi 77mm Enhance ND-VARIO 1-5 stops

These are my main filters. I also have step-up rings from smallest lens diameter up to 77mm so that I can use these on all my lenses. I also have a few extra filters with various diameters.

Think Tank Urban Access 13
Think Tank Mindshift PhotoCross 13

These two camerabags serve different purposes. The Urban Access (right) one is bigger, and more suited for when I need more gear, a laptop.

The PhotoCross (left) is my main go-to bag for a shorter trip, more lightweight, smaller, easier to carry.

(note, relative size of bags pictured is not correct)

Peak Design Slide
Peak Design Cuff
Peak Design Capture

These allow me to hang the camera around my neck, as I have attached a capture clip to the slide neckstrap. I also have a capture clip on my PhotoCross backpack.

Rollei C5i Aluminium

This tripod is sturdy and lightweight enough for my use. Supports Arca-Swiss quick release plate, compatible with the Peak Design Capture mentioned above.

SanDisk Extreme PRO 128GB 300MB/s V90
Lexar Professional 64GB 300MB/s V90

For the EOS R7 to operate optimally, especially when doing 30fps image buffering, and with the pre-shoot buffer system, I needed fast memory cards to avoid having the camera spending an inordinate amount of time emptying the buffer. V90 cards are what I settled for.
